Why doesn't my PowerPivot workbook open anymore? There is no error, but the Excel Splash screen says "Opening In Protected View"

Answer

"Protected View" opens potentially dangerous files in a restricted mode to help minimize harm to your computer. Depending on where you copied your file from (maybe you stored in the cloud?), Protected View may kick in and prevent the file from opening. Try turning Protected View off and see what happens:

1. Launch Excel, and get into Excel Backstage.

2. Click "Trust Center".

3. Click the "Trust Center Settings" button.

4. Choose Protected View.

5. Deselect all items in the list

Este modo protegido (Protected View) abre arquivos podencialmente perigosos em um modo restrito para minimizar os possíveis danos ao seu computador. Depende de onde voc6e copiou o seu arquivo (talvez você o tenha armazenado na nuvem?), o modo protegido pode evitar a abertura do arquivo. Tente desabilitar o modo protegido e veja o qeu acontece:

1. Inicie o Excel, e vá nas "configurações" do Excel.

2. Clique em "Trust Center".

3. Clique em "Trust Center Settings".

4. Selecione "Protected View".

5. Desmarque todos os itens da lista
